 Winstead Adams Projects and the June Downtown Art Walk

Winstead Adams Projects invites you to view any/all of our three art
exhibitions this Thursday, June 12th during the June Downtown Art Walk. We
hope you can join us for a very special sound performance at our gallery
space at 6th and Main Streets, in the Pacific Electric Lofts, at 7pm.

*The Stage, a World <http://winsteadadams.com/2008/05/30/the-stage-a-world/>
* is a group exhibition of Los Angeles-based artists that demonstrates the
dynamism and quality that makes Los Angeles and Southern California a major
center of artistic activity. The exhibition, comprised of video,
installation, photography, and sculpture, is in an inactive construction
site at the corner of 6th and Main in downtown Los Angeles. This Thursday at
7pm, we present a sound performance featuring Helga Fassonaki, Nicole
Bianchet and Noah Thomas. This exhibition is presented in conjunction with
Phantom Galleries LA.

*A Deeper Shade <http://winsteadadams.com/2008/05/29/a-deeper-shade/>* is a
reprise of the exhibition by James Adams, most recently show in Long Beach.
This exhibition is presented in the Pacific Electric Lofts at the corner of
6th and Los Angeles, also in conjunction with Phantom Galleries LA. In A
Deeper Shade, Adams explores altered states of consciousness and perception,
both as sensual phenomena and as the philosophical longing for meaning and
expression. Adams uses elements from the languages of photography, film, and
special effects to create work ranging from visually overwhelming, wall-size
digital prints to intimate, meditative video installations.

FIRST | LAST <http://winsteadadams.com/2008/05/29/first-last/> is the first
and last exhibition we will hold at 436 S. Main, which will then become Raw
Materials <http://rawmaterialsla.com/>, an art and architectural supplies
store, in August 2008.


All three shows will be open for the June Downtown Art
