<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>Hello DAP Artists,</div><div><br></div><div><b>Description:</b></div><div><div>The Downtown Artist Project is calling for Artists to submit images of art work to be considered for display in Pershing Square's <i>Art Squared</i> outdoor gallery. <a href="http://www.laparks.org/pershingsquare/art.html">http://www.laparks.org/pershingsquare/art.html</a> </div><div>There will be 6 images selected by DAP for each of the 3 shows this year, July, September and November. All submissions will also be put on file for other DAP shows and for next year's Art Squared shows.</div><div><br></div><div>Two options for artwork to be displayed: vinyl print or original artwork. All work must be square in format. (no letter boxing or diagonal squares) All original work must be 8 1/2 ft. square. Painting, photography, flat sculpture, digital art are all acceptable. Their will be a place to display the artists' photos, statements, bios. and contact information in public view. If you want to create something specifically for the showing in the square, send examples or similar work, drawings or mockups of your idea. </div><div><br></div><div><b>Terms:</b></div><div>Submission fee is $30.00 for 3 images. All proceeds go toward the cost of producing the shows.</div></div><div><div>Jpegs only, no larger than 5 MB, labeled with artist's name and image number 1-3 (ie: joe_smith_2.jpg)</div><div>The Gallery is on public property, so we can not show anything political, sexual or controversial. </div><div><br></div><div>Art selection is based on artistic merit and stylistic diversity. Artists living in Los Angeles will be given special consideration. Selected artists will be asked to provide a high resolution digital image file for printing.</div><div>DAP will take care of printing expenses. DAP Maintains ownership of prints and can sell them to defray printing cost. The artists keep copyrights to their images. Original art is displayed at the artist's risk and is returned to the artist. </div><div><br></div><div><b>How to Enter:</b></div><div>LaxArtscene.com has a new Artist Call feature that we are using.
